Message from the President

Greeting

Hideto Okazaki

Supporting Filipino students and Japanese SMEs in a win-win situation with trust as our strength

For many years, he has been involved in matching projects between domestic small and medium-sized enterprises and universities and research institutes at an industrial support organization.
He has built networks with local governments and industry support organizations not only domestically but also overseas (the United States, China, South Korea, Italy, the Philippines, etc.). He has experience and track record in bridging business with Japanese companies.
In our human resources business, we have carried out various projects related to young human resources (such as projects commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) and have accepted overseas students with excellent skills at industrial support institutions, providing them with opportunities to learn about the actual situation of Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises.

After becoming independent, he worked as a consultant to support the strategic business development of small and medium-sized enterprises and the revitalization of local industries through tie-ups with local governments and support organizations.
This support led to deeper collaboration with the University of Cebu in the Philippines.
He forged new relationships with professors at San Carlos University, heads of Philippine government labor authorities, and private recruitment agencies.

Utilizing our extensive experience, know-how, networks, and the trust we have built up over many years of exchange, we propose projects that contribute to society to universities in the Philippines.

With a strong desire to provide Filipino students with the opportunity to work in Japan and to introduce human resources with excellent technical and language skills to Japanese small and medium-sized enterprises that are suffering from a shortage of human resources, we have decided to open a project in 2023 that will benefit both Japan and the Philippines. We have launched “Cebujapa”, a human resource bridging business that creates human resources.

Thoughts on terakoya

As a future outlook

We would like to establish an NPO “Cebu Japan Exchange Association” in Cebu to connect local universities and Japanese companies.
As a pillar of our business, we plan to open an “AI Teragoya” that will teach “AI knowledge + English conversation.”
We want to give young Japanese talent the knowledge (AI programming and English conversation) to be successful in the world, and create a “cram school” (terakoya) with excellent cost performance.
With the support of a local university professor in Cebu, we hope to realize this on the university campus in Cebu and also be able to receive a certificate of completion from the university.

For students who complete AI Teragoya, we are considering job placement at IT companies in Japan, as well as placement at IT companies in Cebu via human resources agencies in Cebu.

🔹Implementation flow

Curriculum:
In coordination with a university in Cebu, we basically utilize the university’s facilities to provide AI programming education and English education at low cost to Japanese company employees and university students. For those enrolled in the program, the university will issue a course registration form.

Duration: Expected to be 3 weeks as a short-term study abroad.

About the operation:
Students studying AI at a university in Cebu will work one-on-one with Japanese students at Terakoya, providing support for AI programming and English conversation.
